PROCEDURES

Baby Blessings/Christenings

The right to have your baby blessed/

christened at the Pleasant Hill Baptist

Church is a privilege that is also entirely

a Pastoral function. Public blessings are

reserved for married couples only. All

others are done in the Pastor’s Study.

Godparents are asked to participate.

Baby blessings are generally done

at the end of 11:00 a.m. service.

Baptisms

Baptisms are held monthly on the

2nd Sunday at 11:00 am. Please arrive

at 10:00. We encourage you to invite

family and friends to witness the

celebration of your new life in Christ.

Communion

Communion is held at 11am 1st Sundays.

Weddings

A pre-marital

counseling session

is required for all

prospective brides and

grooms. This should

take place 2 weeks to

1 month before the

wedding ceremony.

In cases where

either individual has been married

before (except where the former spouse

is deceased) it will be left to the Pastor’s

discretion as to whether or not he will

perform said ceremony. He will make

this determination on an individual

basis using the Holy Writ as his guide.

Wedding rehearsals and wedding

ceremonies must start on time. There

will be a fee of $50.00 per ½ hour

delay. Late fees must be paid before

the ceremony will proceed.

Wedding parties are entirely responsible for

decorating before and cleaning up church

facilities after the wedding. The church

custodian can be hired to clean up after the

wedding for a fee of no less than $50.00.

Wedding parties are also entirely

responsible for printing of programs,

invitations, thank you notes, etc. Wedding

parties are also entirely responsible for

arranging and payment for musicians.

Wedding parties should also pay

careful attention so as to not destroy or

damage church property with the use

of candles, candle wax drippings, fire,
