Objectives:
A. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE “PROCESS”
OF BRINGING US BACK TO GOD.
B. TO DISCUSS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR
OLD NATURE AND OUR NEW NATURE.
C. TO SHOW YOU HOW TO LIVE VICTORIOUSLY WITH CHRIST.
Introduction:
It is important to establish your foundation of salvation. As a newly
born Christian or as a mature Christian, Satan will constantly
attack you in this area. This is the basis of Session 2 -
“Surviving
Your Decision.”
As you now know, salvation is a free gift of God,
granted to the lost and undeserving who trust and believes in the
saving power of Christ, and humble themselves in submission
to His will. Once you have accepted Christ, the battle begins!
“Why is there a battle?” you might ask. Well, because you Old
Nature (your sinful pre-salvation nature) comes into conflict
with your New Nature (your redeemed nature) [Romans
7:15-25.] The aim of this lesson is to help you understand
this battle, and challenge you to be an overcomer of the
natural self and to live a victorious life with Christ
Be Assured Of Your Salvation
Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that a new life in Christ is by FAITH!
Therefore, there will come times when you will not “feel” saved.
You must know that salvation is not about emotions and feelings,
but is about God’s free gift of grace given to all those who believe.
Surviving Your Decision
If we are to survive in Spiritual warfare or even be viable opponents
we must know who we are. We are children of God, redeemed
by the death and resurrection of Christ, granted eternal life
and restored to right relation with our Heavenly Father.
Satan, however, has a job to do. And, that job is to make you think
that you are not who you know you are. Satan and his army are
